Abstract
A panel discussion about the current state and future of library reference service. Librarians from a variety of academic institutions share their experiences, offer practical tips and advice for new and aspiring librarians, and discuss the opportunities and challenges of delivering reference service in the modern information age. The event was co-sponsored by the Virtual Academic Library Environment of New Jersey (VALE), Student College, Academic, and Research Libraries Association (SCARLA), and the Rutgers University Libraries.
